WeblyChat today launched team collaboration. Every account can now hold multiple workspaces, each with its own members, roles, and chatbots. Team access is included on every plan, including Free, and there are no per-seat charges.
Why It Is on Every Plan
A website chatbot is rarely one person's job. The owner sets it up, whoever answers the phones reads the conversations, and someone else fills in the gaps the chatbot could not answer. Until now, they all shared one login.
Putting collaboration behind a higher tier would have charged the smallest businesses the most for the basic act of working together. It is included on every plan instead.
How Workspaces Work
A workspace is a shared space with its own team and its own chatbots. Most businesses will only ever need one. The reason to add more is separation: an agency can give each client its own workspace, a franchise can give one to each location, and a company running two brands can keep them apart, all under one subscription.
Owners and Admins invite teammates by email from the workspace's Members page. Someone new to WeblyChat lands directly in the workspace when they sign up, and someone already in the account is added instantly, with no acceptance step. Once inside, the whole team works from the same conversations inbox, and each person keeps their own read and unread state.
Three Roles
- Owner is set at the account level. Owners have full control of everything in the account: every workspace, every chatbot, and billing. An account can have more than one Owner, each one is automatically an Owner in every workspace, and new Owners can be added directly or invited by email.
- Admin is set per workspace and runs it day to day: training the chatbot, customizing and publishing the widget, and inviting or removing members. Admins cannot delete the workspace or manage billing.
- Member is set per workspace and has view access: the dashboard, analytics, and conversations. Members cannot change anything.
Because Admin and Member are set per workspace, the same person can be an Admin in one workspace and a Member in another.
What It Costs
Nothing beyond the existing plan. One subscription covers the entire account, so teammates never need a plan of their own. Plan limits, such as monthly messages, chatbot deployments, and storage, come from the account's plan and are shared across all of its workspaces. Adding workspaces or members does not change the price, and it does not multiply the limits.
There are currently no caps on the number of workspaces or members on any plan, including Free.
